Please note that applicants who have not attended the interview (No Show) can collect the refund of visa fee within 90 days from the date of interview .Failing to reach within 90 days, Italy Visa Application Centre Shanghai will not be responsible for the refund of the visa fees.

Important Notice:
The Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai reminds that the visa issuing procedure may require up to two weeks and that it is suggested to present applications at least one month or longer time (according to interview scheduling situation) before the departing date. The issuing of the visa can not be guaranteed for applications presented less promptly. |

Starting from 5 April 2010, all valid long-stay visas (D) will allow for free circulation in the Schengen Area for 90 days in a six month period. A foreigner holding a long-stay D visa issued by a Schengen State will be allowed to travel to other Schengen States for 90 days in a half year, under the same conditions as a holder of a residence permit. This rule also applies to long-stay visas already issued before 5 April 2010, including still valid D+C visas.
