The Italian Ministry of Education has just released on http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri the rules for enrolment of foreign students in Italian Universities and AFAM Institutions (Conservatories and Academies) in Academic Year 2008/2009.

1. Study checklist:

1. ) To apply for a "CORSO DI LAUREA DI PRIMO LIVELLO":
   • Form A (+ 2 copies)(click here)
   • Photo and signature authentication form (click here) (+ 1 copy)
   • High school diploma, translated into Italian and legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consular Office of the Embassy (+ 2 copies)
   • Original of the high school diploma (+ 2 copies)
   • Original certificate of Italian language level A2 or higher, issued by one of the four Certification Institutions recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Universit?per Stranieri di Perugia, Universit?per Stranieri di Siena, Universit?degli Studi Roma Tre, Societ?Dante Alighieri) or, in case the certificate is not ready, a declaration from the school that the candidate has obtained a pass score in the above examination (+ 2 copies)
   • Payment receipt issued by CDGDC (www.cdgdc.edu.cn) for certification on the requested documents: school degrees and college entrance exam certificate(高考成绩证明/会考合格证)
   * Please note: only applications from students with at least 380/750 score at the college entrance exam will be accepted.
   
   
2. ) to apply for a "CORSO DI DIPLOMA DI I LIVELLO" in Art Academies or Conservatories:
   • Form A bis (click here) (+ 2 copies)
   • Photo and signature authentication form (click here) (+ 1 copy)
   • High school diploma, translated into Italian and legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consular Office of the Embassy (+ 2 copies)
   • Original of the high school diploma (+ 2 copies)
   • Original certificate of Italian language level A2 or higher, issued by one of the four Certification Institutions recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Universit?per Stranieri di Perugia, Universit?per Stranieri di Siena, Universit?degli Studi Roma Tre, Societ?Dante Alighieri) or, in case the certificate is not ready, a declaration from the school that the candidate has obtained a pass score in the above examination (+ 2 copies)
   • Payment receipt issued by CDGDC (www.cdgdc.edu.cn) for certification on requested documents: Chinese high school degree (高考成绩证明), skill test relevant to the major selected (art, dance, acting, music, etc.) (专业考试证明) and certificate of college entrance exam (会考合格证) for the Chinese Provinces where the system is active.
   * Please note: only applications from students with at least 380/750 score at the college entrance exam will be accepted.
   
   
3. ) to apply for a "CORSO DI LAUREA SPECIALISTICA":
   • Form F (click here)(+ 2 copies)
   • Photo and signature authentication form (click here) (+ 1 copy)
   • University degree translated in Italian and legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People Republic of China and the Consular Office of the Embassy (original and two copies)
   • Complete school report and detailed description of the program of study legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legalized by the Consular Office of the Embassy (+ 2 copies)
   • Original of the degree (+ 2 copies)
   • Original certificate of Italian language level A2 or higher, issued by one of the four Certification Institutions recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Università per Stranieri di Perugia, Università per Stranieri di Siena, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Società Dante Alighieri) or, in case the certificate is not ready, a declaration from the school that the candidate has obtained a pass score in the above examination (+ 2 copies)
   • Payment receipt issued by CDGDC (www.cdgdc.edu.cn) for certification on the requested documents: University Degree (学位证书人证).
   
   
4. )To apply for a "CORSO DI DIPLOMA DI II LIVELLO" in Art Academies or Conservatories:
   • Form F (click here)(+ 2 copies)
   • Legalization form for photo e signature (click here) (+ 1 copy)
   • University degree translated in Italian and legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People Republic of China and the Consular Office of the Embassy (original and two copies)
   • Complete school report and detailed description of the program of study legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the R.P.C. and legalized by the Consular Office of the Embassy (+ 2 copies)
   • Original of the degree (+ 2 copies)
   • Original certificate of Italian language level A2 or higher, issued by one of the four Certification Institutions recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Università per Stranieri di Perugia, Università per Stranieri di Siena, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Società Dante Alighieri) or, in case the certificate is not ready, a declaration from the school that the candidate has obtained a pass score in the above examination (+ 2 copies)
   • Payment receipt issued by CDGDC (www.cdgdc.edu.cn) for certification on the requested documents: University Degree (学位证书人证).
   
   

2. Visa checklist:

• Visa Application form duly filled in English or Italian and signed by the applicant(click here)
• One recent passport-size photograph with clear background
• Valid passport with validity of at least 90 days after expiration of the requested visa, duly signed (+2 copies of the page with personal data)
• Air flight booking or ticket
• Financial means for a total amount of at least 5.000 Euro ( please shown either your credit card with at least three months bank statement, or 5000 euro in traveler cheques duly signed or letter of sponsorship from University or other institution either Italian or foreigner): these documents has to be submitted in original and 1 copy
• Declaration of the availability in Italy of appropriate lodging (letter of hospitality, lease contract, declaration of lodgment issued by University or other institution)

• students attending the last year of the secondary high school and who are going to do academic ability exams
• students applying for a "Corso di Laurea di Secondo Livello" who have already completed the first level study degree but are still waiting for the academic degree.
